Things are a little bla

October 20, 2008 at 8:17 pm (Dogs, General)

This week has had a lot going on.  I did some CGC testing, I enjoyed it but still have that left out feeling.  Went to my dad’s grave to find out that they only put plastic down for his marker so I have paid to make it granite and I hope to have it done by the 28th although they said it would be done today and it wasn’t when I stopped and checked.  Tomorrow I go to the ortho-surgeon for my knee and ankle, might help my knee but I suspect it wont do anything for my knee.  Still need to do that blood work for auto-immune issues.  People in general (but not my Jay,  he is always here for me) have left me feeling unimportant and even unwanted.

I have found good homes for all my puppies but I need to now register them and check in with the owners for the pups new names and pick up a crate.

I also need to do the damn house, it just sits there over my head driving me nuts.

My puppies

October 10, 2008 at 8:54 pm (Dogs)

I had a litter of puppies 12 weeks ago, I had homes lined up for them but two didn’t work out and my girl had a large litter.  I have been search for good homes for a month now, I was/am offering them free to people I know or people willing to give me vet references and such.  I have given them all their shots and even micro-chipped them.  I will give them their rabies if I still have them then.  I have now put them in the paper and am asking 500 for them to make sure they get a good home and I got their CKC papers, I was offering them up as mixed puppies when they were free but I feel like if someone is going to pay me they deserve to get the papers.  These are my babies and I love them, I am keeping one and three still need homes, oh they are chihuahuas.

So today I got an email today from one of my adds, obviously someone who I offered a free puppy to but they never followed through with giving me vet info.  I am guessing they were trying to be mean by saying this..  I thought these were free, and u told me they were mixed breed puppies, now $500.00 wow!

I responded to her(?) by saying.. I was gifting them to good homes and not giving papers but the good homes crapped out so the cost is to assure a good home.  Who are you?  For friends the free offer is still good.

What do y’all think?  I really do just want good homes, not looking to make money but wanting to assure they are not dog bait for fighting dogs.

Well if anyone wants a chihuahua let me know, if you are willing to give references and a vet reference they are still free.  Oh, you must also agree to give the puppy back to me if you cant keep it at anytime (some of the homes did this and I applaud them for being honest and mature enough to return the pups to me) and my number is going to be a secondary number on the micro-chip.

Here is an older picture, they were about 8 weeks then, the three I have available are the white/cream.

I guess this post was half add and half bitch.

The dogs great escape.

October 6, 2008 at 2:25 pm (Dogs) ()

Yesterday I was out and about trying to get some much avoided chores done when my Hubby called and said the dogs got out.  Now, our back yard has both chain link and then in front of that a privacy fence.

I had discovered that one of my chihuahuas, Lane, had been getting out and going around the lake to play/bark at some other small dogs.  I had the yard guy put some large rocks in front of the small hole she made.  Well, for the past week of her doing this (I didn’t notice at first because from the back door I couldn’t see where she was coming from and she came running when i called) had been driving my beagle, Timber, mad.  He wanted to get out and go hunting in the woods.

Yesterday after the area was blocked one of the dogs managed to pull a part of the fence loose and my plott mix, Brina, pulled the slat next to the loose one off and off went the dogs.  In total we had all but one dog and three puppies loose, but all came back when called except for Timber.

I spent 4 hours looking at my GPS and following the streets that surround the wooded area asking everyone if they had seen him.  That boy had us scared, we no longer heard him baying.  Finally just as it was getting dark he shows up and I let him back in the yard through the gate and feed him.  Today his voice is all but gone and he is not willing to move much, oh did I mention the boy is 10 years old?

I did research putting a GPS unit on him but that is too pricey so we are working on more preventative measures.

*edited to add*

The entire time my husband Jay, was wonderful and did everything he could by catching the other loose dogs, calling Timber, talking to neighbors, etc.  And, he did all this with a ruptured disk.  Love ya Jay!
